Make money with your own business directory
Here is another example of a web site I use to earn an income on the Internet. It is a very simple web site. It started off as a free service where I listed the details of businesses in the West Coast area. For example if you were looking for "Langebaan Accommodation" you will find it on this web site under http://www.bokkom.co.za/langebaan/accommodation
I startegically placed Google Adsense ads on the page and also placed affiliate banner ads at the bottom of each page. Although I listed the information on the web site for free, I make money 24 hours per day from the Google ads without having to look for clients.
This year I started to charge businesses to list their businesses on this web site.
Another example where I used this method is on one of my Forex Trading web sites called other-forex-sites.com

Does MLM work?
If you are looking for a way to earn an extra income you will get overwhelmed by offers to join some kind of MLM company
Does MLM really work?
Why does so many people try MLM or suggest you use it as tool to earn an extra income?
I have been involved in MLM for more than ten years now. I tried various companies and various products and this is my personal opinion on MLM or network marketing:
MLM might not be the ideal "job" as many claim. BUT if you do not know how to build a web site or you do not have any special skills like sales skills or you do not have the funds to buy or start a real business then MLM is the very best business you can get involved in.
Many people are lured into a MLM with the promise of a huge income in return for little to no effort. Nothing can be further from the truth. MLM does require hard work especially if you want to make a huge success. But if you did the hard work you will reap the benefits for many years to come. The income you earn from your MLM business is normally a Passive Income. This means that once your business or network has been established you will keep on earning from it even if you do not work on it anymore.
On the bright side anybody can earn a profit from MLM if they really want to. Whether you are an attorney or a domestic worker, everybody has an equal opportunity to earn a lot of money.
What is also nice about a MLM business is that if you choose the right type of MLM business you do not need any stock, you do not need any staff, offices or huge start-up capital.

The MLM marketing model is one of the best (if not THE best) marketing model in the world. People only get rewarded for successful business and the company rather spend their marketing budget on the normal man on street than on useless and expensive TV, radio and magazine ads.
Theoretically you must make lots of money in a short while. The theory is that you get 5, who gets 5 each (25), who gets 5 each (125), who gets 5 each (625), etc. Imagine you can recruit your first 5 people within your first week and all of them can do the same. Theoretically you can have more than 800 people in your marketing team within 4 weeks. And this is exactly what the promoters promise you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the theory. It can work like that. Unfortunately we encounter people's negativity and skepticism. If it were not for that we all could have been millionaires by now.
So, YES, you can go from zero to $20,000 per month within a month, but in reality it will take you a while. There are people who are actually doing exactly that but they are experienced networkers with huge mailing lists.
The question is 'Can you, the normal man on street do it?' . The answer: I doubt that you will go from zero to $20k per month within a month, but if you have the desire you will most certainly be able to earn a good income from MLM. Perhaps not within a month or two, but a year or two year plan is a much more realistic target.
You can make money from MLM, no doubt about it. The only thing they do not tell you is that it will take you a while and it will take a lot of effort. But once you established your business it will look after you and you will earn a passive income for the rest of your life.
